How Reflective Signs Work

Engineer-grade reflective vinyl has tiny reflective elements in its surface that bounce light back toward its source. When a car's headlights reach the sign, the light returns to the driver, and the colors and text stand out clearly. In daylight the sign looks like a normal full-color print. We UV print your design directly onto 4 mil reflective vinyl, so your logo and colors reflect too.

Reflective Aluminum Sign

The Reflective Aluminum Sign is our classic .040 aluminum sign with reflective graphics, for parking, safety and directional signs that need to be seen at night. It won't rust, and comes in 12″ × 18″, 18″ × 24″ or 24″ × 36″ (portrait or landscape), single or double sided, with rounded corners and holes available.

Reflective Aluminum Sandwich Board

The Reflective Aluminum Sandwich Board pairs our toughest board, 1/8″ aluminum composite, with reflective vinyl, so your message stays visible day and night for years outdoors. It is made in any size from 6″ × 6″ up to 48″ × 96″, with rounded corners and 1/4″ holes available.

Reflective Coroplast

Reflective Coroplast puts reflective graphics on lightweight, weatherproof 4 mm coroplast. It comes in standard sizes from 18″ × 12″ to 36″ × 24″ or custom up to 48″ × 96″, with grommets or H-stakes for yards, events and temporary directions.

Reflective Car Magnet

The Reflective Car Magnet makes your vehicle visible at night in other drivers' headlights. It is a 30 mil high-strength magnet with reflective graphics, in custom sizes up to 36″ × 96″, with square or rounded corners at no extra cost.

Reflective Signicade A-Frame

The Reflective Signicade A-Frame mounts 24″ × 36″ reflective graphics on a classic white Signicade frame, single or double sided, for sidewalks and entrances that stay open after dark.

Reflective Adhesive Vinyl

• Viewing direction: choose double sided when drivers approach from both directions.

Placement Tips

• Mount the sign where headlights will reach it, facing the direction traffic comes from.
• Keep it clear of branches, posts and other objects that block the light.
• Wipe it clean now and then; dirt and dust reduce how much light it reflects back.
• For parking and directional signs, use the same size and style throughout your site so drivers recognize them quickly.

Artwork Guidelines

• Send a JPG or a single-page PDF in CMYK color, at least 150 dpi at the final size.
• Build the artwork at the size you order, with no crop marks or bleed.
• Convert fonts to outlines and spot (Pantone) colors to CMYK.
• Keep important text at least 0.25″ from the edge on rigid signs.
• Use large, bold text and strong contrast, so the message reads quickly from a moving car.

Can you print full color on reflective vinyl?

Yes. We UV print your full-color design directly on the reflective vinyl, so the whole design reflects.

Are reflective signs waterproof?

Yes. The reflective vinyl is UV printed and waterproof, and our aluminum signs won't rust.

Can I put a reflective magnet on my car?

Yes, on a steel door or panel. Some newer car doors are aluminum or plastic, so check with a magnet first.

Can I add reflective graphics to a sign I already have?

Yes. Reflective Adhesive Vinyl is printed with your design and has a permanent adhesive, so you can apply it to a clean, smooth, flat sign or panel.

What if I don't have a design?
